Thank God I found this. After reading all of these post i'm not surprise it was to good to be true. Yes these people have gotten smart. in my case this person named Roberto Sanchez is supposedly an artist and needs a personal assistant. He needs someone to sort out his deliveries, shipments, and run errands for him. He said he will be paying me $550 up to $950 a week. He needed someone a.s.a.p because his actual personal assistant left for an emergency to China and that its a temporary position but could become permanently if I do as he says. I can't believe I felt for it. I gave out my information! It sounded fishy after I send my information through email and he said I need you re-verify your information and when you do so you are hired.

OMG...I went through the exact same process and the exact same questions and I was told that I would have a check delivered to my home via FedEx today...$150 were mine for the sign on bonus and the remaining $2000 and change were for the home office scanner/faxer/printer they are to deliver to my home. I had a funny feeling about all this because noone sends you a check without any contract being signed, I did not give them any SS, ID or personal info..but my gut told me it was a scam and that is why I went on line researching it. Thanks to all who posted making us aware of this issue.

Business in Texas has nothing to do with them since I contacted them and he says they are not hiring this must be a scam. Website can be under construction appearance at hdipublishers.com, supposedly out of Virginia but unable to find any information. Same scam as above.

There are now using Frank Green & John Howell. I was almost convinced but my Father in Heaven woke me up. Thank You Lord, you have saved me again. He put it on my heart to keep search, He knew it was a scam and protected me.

As a previous bank employee, you would think I would know better but desperation enhances stupid decisions.

By the way, they said they got my information from a post of my resume on craigslist. Just be careful all you job seekers!

Today I also got an email, the name has apparently been switched again: Frank Green eenk88@rsp-corps.com...this is so sad...I was just scammed by Hilbert-AG (Robert Davis)....something has to be done...money is tight and any legal opportunity to make money is necessary- I have to delete my job search profiles- nobody truly calls me back anyway! Up date for this is still going on. Now it is www.globalfinance.gr. Now they are sending out checks for you to deposit but you still need to download software from their company... But now using fedex to send out money,, I am to recieve it today and plan on going to the authorities with the check.

Still basically the some but I do not know how the check will come or what they think they can do to get the money out of my bank but I did not give them any information on that.

Oh - one other thing - since they use Craigslist a lot, you should go click on the "report as spam" button on craigslist, as that will remove their posting, so at least they'll have to post again. And eventually Craigslist will start blocking their account.

The "company board" of Piexx is one guy, Chris, and he knows about these guys already, and has talked to the police. Yahoo is not interested in stopping them, and has ignored all contacts about people using their services fraudulently. The local police station is basically unable to do anything since the scammers are in Nigeria.

As far as there being lots of different Piexx companys, I don't think that is at all true. All of the hits I checked on google were all to my friend's company.

I suspect that if we were watching the user's computer, we would have seen their IM window scrolling by and then they typed in the person's name into google, and came to our page, and then responded to the scammer, so the information asked for was not really the important part.

Though, there are some (still reading our blog?) who would object to his address being known by anyone, including his mother. Though his reason for not telling his mother where he lives, is that then she would type it into maps.google.com for directions, so I don't think he was worried about his mother exactly, but what she would do with the information.

I think he feels the same disbelief about what I think of privacy that I feel about his beliefs...

Yes, Renee Artice, presumably is telling the truth when she says she works with these guys who are trying to scam people into sending them money for nothing.

But, if she is saying she works with Piexx, that is definitely a lie, as they are not hiring anyone, and certainly aren't interested in (ever?) hiring someone who would work from a distance.

I heard from Chris, the owner of Piexx that probably this post did some good, as his phone calls (usually 4-5 a day) all but disappeared for a week or so, presumably until they started using the new lourie account.

Hopefully folks will be smart enough to search for Piexx and find this post, as the scammers change yahoo addresses.

Basically it meant that everything we read or view was confidential and only accessed as a need to know basis. We were good at making sure we did not violate anyone confidential records ever. Code of conduct is a standard that most offices expect their employees to abide by and how to conduct them selves. I do understand.

I finally got a response from Yahoo; basically an auto-response, and they hadn't even looked in the appropriate email accounts. I guess that is why these scammers are using Yahoo, and not some other service that would actually want to try to stop the scammers.

I am so happy you are exposing this person! She contacted me with an "job opportunity" and wanted my to pay 255.00 to purchase the software that I would need. I saw this post and informed her that I was not sending her any money and that I was aware of the scam she was running. She proceeded to threaten to come to my house and said(in very poor sentence structure)that my life would soon be over! She even went as far as saying that she was already in my house but I just couldn't see her. How pathetic!! Thanks again for posting this so hopefully more people will see this and not get scammed by her!

Right - Piexx is a legitimate company - I used to work there in high school.

I assume "Amanda" and "Melissa" are generic names for the same person, and they are some overseas company, where it is hard to find them. Yahoo should be able to do something about it, given that they are using their services to commit fraud.

If I were you, I'd report the username to Yahoo and see what happens.

I'd expect Chris would be glad to get a call from Yahoo to verify that it is fraudulent, as he is currently getting a number of calls a day from people, and there isn't anyway he can stop it.

I was looking into this, the company is real but sells computer components - couldn't figure out why they would have a data entry positions for accounting servicing various companies.

We were asked to set up IM with yahoo and were barraged with messages from Melissa Dressler who could not put a conjunction on a verb or structure a sentence. She produced an application for renewal of trade name in the state of New Hampshire (could be valid, but for what?).

Things that made me wonder: Why, if you worked for a company, did you have a yahoo email address. Why did she want the $200+ money sent by Western Union and why was getting this money her main focus. When asked to whom the money was to be sent she produced a person's name - not a company. Additionally, the "software" that we were supposidly making the payment for was Peachtree, Quickbooks, and several others. You couldn't buy one of these for under $300.
