A witness for the prosecution discovered he was scheduled to be in two places at once, so of course there is another delay.

(I wonder if the other case is also by the DA, in which case they should have been able to figure out the scheduling problem a long time ago, even if the witness wasn't smart enough to look at his calendar)

Porter pointed out that a delay is as good as a win for the DA -- Judy can't practice. Come to think of it, it may be even better, as it gives her supporters no event on which to focus their protests.

(almost) unbelievable!

So... not too surprising, but the Assistant District Attorney forgot that there was a meeting, and was out of town.

They judge got another attorney from the DA's office to stand in, but of course, that person didn't know anything about the case, so it was mostly a big waste of time, and has been rescheduled for June 20th.

You'd think they would stop allowing delays at some point, but I guess we can't get a bad answer if it never goes to trial either. I wonder if all lawsuits go like this.
