Especially: "But I believe we should do that [dress modestly, speak kindly, etc.] because we are cultivating godly character, not because we think men lack it. And if the men in your life DO lack character? Well, that’s probably not going to be improved by enabling them, by acting like the intimidated au pair of a tyrannical toddler."

Stephan says it's nothing new, but I still feel condemned if I point out a problem to my husband, like I'm not being submissive and am leading him or something, but I think it is true that it shows I deeply respect him because I know he is a strong man and wants to hear how he can grow even more. I don't have to demand it or trick him. I just talk about it with him and he'll do the rest.
